Before & After FAQs

  • What should I do to prepare for carpet cleaning?

    • Please make sure to pick up small items like shoes, toys, etc.
    • All jobs come with basic furniture moving included in the price. (Coffee tables, end tables, dining chairs, nightstands, small chairs, and similar items). Please make sure all items are cleared, especially breakable items.
    • Larger furniture items, such as beds, large dressers, etc., are not included but can be moved at request for an extra charge.
    • If you are going to move any furniture items yourself before our arrival, please make sure to move them completely away from the cleaning area, such as in the kitchen, bathroom or on top of larger furniture. Please do not move them to the middle of the room, as this will make it difficult to pre-treat the high traffic areas.
    • Please pin up, or fold up any long draperies, bed skirts, or blankets that are touching the carpet. This will help us to be able to clean under the bed and stop the risk of any colors from these items bleeding into the carpet while it dries.
    • All pets should be put in a safe, comfortable area away from the cleaning areas.
  • What should I do after the carpets are clean?

    • While carpet is drying, it is best to have a pair of clean white socks to wear. This will help to make sure nothing gets tracked onto the carpet while it is drying.
    • The least amount of traffic is best while drying.
    • Most importantly, use caution when walking from cleaned areas onto other types of flooring.
    • Make sure the carpet is dry before replacing any furniture you have moved before our arrival.
    • It is recommended that you do not use any over-the-counter spot cleaners, as they often leave too much residue and lead to rapid re-soiling.
    • Scotchgard protection is recommended to protect and prolong the life of your carpet. It will also make accidents easier to remove.
